So, I haven't been buying much but MiLady got me a copy of my beloved Classic & Sportsscar. A U.K. mag.

So...to start this off at THIS forum.....

and after about 4 years not buying one thought I'd take another look:

Got some new stuff today. Should keep me busy a wee bit:

and....Spring 2010 Motor Trend Classic which seems to be back. I know when it was out, it was surprisingly good. This mag is as good as it's parent mag, Motor Trend sucks!!

Years ago, here in Switzerland, I used to suscribe to UK car magazines, Car and Evo. But it drove me crazy how they would arrive by post ages after they were available at the kiosks here.

So I stopped subscribing to them. Thought I'd save money by only buying the ones that looked good at the kiosk.

No sooner had I done that, it seemed that the local kiosks stopped stocking them regularly

I get a Swiss car weekly and a Swiss monthly mag so that I know what is going on wrt cars and what the car-unfriendly politicians are planning next.

I also get the best petrolhead german car mag, Sport auto to get the lowdown from a driver's perspective – including track times, rather than relying on the general press which tend to weight things such as fuel economy and service costs far more highly than feedback through the wheel, times through a slalom or braking distances.

I do still buy too many other german language and english car mags (particularly Evo ) though to read about new cars. I also keep an eye out for interesting reports in classic mags – or for new scale models in modelling mags. With the info available on the net, I really should control myself more . But I do like to read when shaving – and a mag is a lot easier to prop up than a laptop

Maybe I should grow a beard to solve the problem – or perhaps get an iPad

If you see 0-60 over there, a U.S. mag, pick it up as it's worth it. Enough older stuff to be interesting.
